V0.3.0 (BETA) - New Map, Upgrades, and more!


NOTICE: DLSS AND FSR ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. 

This version MAY be unstable due to: a LOT of changes, a port to UE 5.7, and some missing/replaced plugins.

This isn't to say I haven't tested, the game, but there could be some things i missed.


MAJOR CHANGES:

  • Added New Map: The School.
  • Added UV Upgrades: 1. Wider Radius | 2. Longer Radius.
  • Added over 550 new Impact Sounds.
    All impact sounds across all maps are now replaced and Balanced.
    there are now different sounds for different-sized objects of the same material.
  • All new Play Time Counter, including Total Time Played and Investigation Time.
  • Reworked the DEMON Ghost Type. Now better suits its Ghost Book Description.
  • Finished implementing New Ghost traits: Hates The Light, Fears the Dark, Hates The Living, Fears The Living.*
    These new traits are spread across 10 different ghost types.
  • New Stats Screen UI
  • New Upgrades Screen UI
  • Added Location Names next to Map Name on the Tablet. (I.E: The House - 01 Clint. RD)
  • Removed the "Confirm Side Investigation" button. All Entries/selections now auto-confirm
  • Rewrote and/or improved all "Cause of Concern' descriptions.
  • In ghost Descriptions, all ghosts with "Average", "Below Average" interaction rates have been replaced with "Medium" and "Low"
    (These changes won't show up unless you are playing on a New Save)
  • All Player & Equipment sounds are now 3D, and Audibly come from their source (I.E: EMF Reader) and are now affected by effects like Reverb.
  • Footstep Sounds are now based on player speed,
  • and footstep rate/frequency no longer depends on the player's Movement State**
  • Speed upgrades also now have an audible effect thanks to this change.
  • Stamina Consumption and regeneration also now depend on your Movement State.
    I.E: Sprinting while crouched will use more stamina and regenerate slower.
  • Reworked Door Interactions - The amount of force used to open the door now depends on the Ghost Type.
  • Added setting: Global Illumination.
  • EMF Sources are now limited to 5.
  • Balanced some Upgrades

* - Fears the Dark & Hates the Player were already implemented, but now expanded & improved.
** - Movement States refer to Walking, Running, and Crouching.


CONTROL CHANGES:

  • Added 'Lefty Mode' - Changes WASD to Arrow Keys
  • Added Lefty Mode+ - Changes the Player Character to be Left Handed.
  • Added Key Rebinds. You can now rebind nearly every key. Key rebinds for the rest will be added soon.


FIXES & MINOR CHANGES:

  • Fixed Typos & Grammar.
  • Added SMAA and TAA anti-aliasing methods
  • Added More FPS Limits. now 30 - 240FPS instead of 30 - 120FPS
  • Added Tool Tips to the "Start Investigation" menu, and removed some text.
  • The UV Tripod now has proper lighting in some areas, and will now shine correctly in all areas.
  • Added a Visible Number to the 'Adjust Gamma' screen, so you can now easily go back to an older setting, or the default.
  • Removed left-over UV Prints from testing - The House.
  • Improved Safe House lighting.
  • The Ghost Ship - Moved the Rest Area Light Switch to the other side of the door.
  • Updated the look of the Pause Menu + Added Animations.
  • Reworked how Stamina usage is handled. In rare cases, you could go above 100% stamina, and essentially have it infinitely.
  • Screen shake / head bob is now multiplied based on player speed, and should no longer have a jarring start or end.
  • EMF Sources now properly despawn.
  • You can no longer obtain EMF through walls or Floors.
  • When buying Multiple Upgrades, the UI will no longer double up.
    If the "Upgrade purchase" UI is on-screen, it'll instead play a Shorter sound and a different animation.
  • Changed Intro Text.
  • Added Floor & Wall Vent models to Most Maps.
  • Ghost pathing has been improved in The Diner.
  • Improved/increased Brightness on All Maps
  • Improved Water Textures on The Ghost Ship map. It's now a Dark Blue instead of a Bright Blue.
  • Thermometer "Checking" text is now hidden when first powering on the Thermometer
  • Fixed an issue where WINDOWED was actually WINDOWED FULL-SCREEN, And vice-versa.
  • Fixed an issue where the UV Tripod wouldn't disappear when switching items.
  • The UV Tripod now drops with the screen facing the player.
  • The Flashlight and UV Light now have a higher base brightness (may be Lowered before the V0.4.0 update)
  • Fixed Throwable Chair collision issues.
  • Fixed UV Spawn Issues in the Tents on the Cave.

There are likely other changes I forgot about, or some that are too small to mention here.


IN PROGRESS:

V0.4.0 UPDATE: New Spirit Box voice lines, Hunt System + 2 New Difficulties

Afterwards: Trailer, Early Access launch.

I know I'm pretty vague about a lot of changes, especially the Ghost ones, it's just because I think it's more fun for y'all to experiment, and figure things out yourself.
