Hunt System Progress update


Progress on the hunt system has been going really, really well. Better than I expected!
The ghost's AI, 4 Models, ~12 Animations, and Player Interaction are finished!

The system was made with the intent of players Learning how the Ghosts behave to their advantage.
Even for me, when I was doing the first couple of tests, I died pretty quickly. but after I looked for areas in the environment to get out of line of sight, or areas to loop them, they got pretty easy!

Hunts typically last around a minute, regardless of Map Size.


All that's left is: Adding in the new difficulty + modifiers, adding an XP bonus for hunts, and making the regular ghost capable of spawning the Hunt ghost.
And if I get time I plan on adding some other Behaviors and Traits to the Hunt Ghost.

There are currently no 'Death Sequences' in the game (I.E: Animations for the player when caught)
But this is something I'm looking into for the future.
The reason being is I feel they're pretty unnecessary. Seeing the same few animations over and over again can get pretty old pretty quickly.
If I do end up adding them, they'll probably be optional.


As for other news... I started development on the Next Map (Medium), and I'm hoping to get it finished by the Early Access launch!
But as of right now, getting the hunt system done is my main priority!
